Preventative Health Services

Prevention is an important step in detecting diseases and staying healthy. University Medical Center of El Paso’s PCPs (primary care providers) offer high-quality, low-cost care for teens, women, and men. In addition to our preventative health services, we also have caring, confidential, and affordable family planning, and health education.

• Services offered by UMC PCPs for women include:

  • Yearly Health Screening Exam and Pap Smear
  • Breast Exam and Mammogram Referrals
  • Screening and Treatment for Sexually Transmitted Infections
  • Pregnancy Testing and Counseling
  • Natural Family Planning Referrals
  • Life Planning and Birth Control Method Counseling
  • Emergency Contraception
  • Reproductive Health Education
