UMC Healthcare Partners - Obstetrics & Gynecology

The UMC Healthcare Partners – Obstetrics & Gynecology clinic is dedicated to providing specialized care for women of all ages in every stage of life.  Women in our community have access to our comprehensive services and board-certified OBGYNs who deliver more accessible and compassionate care to women and newborns.  Additionally, expectant mothers have access to the region’s first Level IV Maternal Care and only designated Baby-Friendly hospital at UMC. UMC's partner, El Paso Children’s Hospital is home to a Level IV Newborn Intensive Care Unit, only footsteps away.  Patient and family-centered care is at our forefront.  We are dedicated to putting the care of women in our community first.

Diego Ramirez, MD

OBGYN Associate Medical Director

Dr. Diego Ramirez is part of the Obstetrics and Gynecology team at University Medical Center of El Paso and has more than eleven years of healthcare experience. He received his MD from Universidad de Monterrey: Monterrery, Mexico and completed his OB/GYN residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, El Paso, TX. He is American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology certified and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Mario Nutis, MD

Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Mario Nutis is part of the Obstetrics and Gynecology team at University Medical Center of El Paso and has more than twenty five plus years of healthcare experience. He received his MD from Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez, Mexico; completed his Family Practice Residency and OB/GYN residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, El Paso, Texas; and his fellowship in Laparoscopic Gynecology at the Center for Special Minimally Invasive Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center, Palo Alto, California. He is board-certified in Family Practice, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.  Dr. Nutis is also fluent in English and Spanish.

Emily Childs, MD

Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Emily Childs is part of the Obstetrics and Gynecology team at University Medical Center of El Paso and has more than five years of healthcare experience. She received her MD from Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL, and completed her OB/GYN residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, El Paso, TX. Dr. Childs is American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology certified.
