Our plan for the cancer program at University Medical Center and TTUHSC-EP is to continue to strive for excellent comprehensive cancer patient care. We strive to meet the standards set by the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer for continuance of our accredited cancer program.
The goal of patient therapy is to meet and exceed nationally recognized quality measures for cancer treatment based on consensus guidelines from major organizations like the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), while ensuring patients have the best quality of life possible.
The following annual report details the clinical cancer activities at University Medical Center of El Paso and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) –El Paso, TX for the year 2018. A total of 995 new cancer patients (new primaries) were evaluated and treated at both institutions during 2017, our last complete year.
