Virtual Visits

University Medical Center of El Paso makes patient visits with your primary care providers more convenient through virtual visits.

Virtual visits are private, secure, and easy to use. This service offers more accessibility for patients by removing wait times and the need for transportation to appointments.

Telehealth is recommended for some appointments to include:

• Lab reviews
• Referral requests
• Imaging results
• Medication follow-ups
• Medication refills

This service opens opportunities for patients to consult and visit with their primary care provider from the comfort of their home.

Patients using Telehealth consultations must be in the state of Texas during the call and have access to a smart phone or computer and internet/data availability.

Telehealth visits can be requested by patients. If the consultation is suitable for a Telehealth service, the patient will receive a text message with the invitation to the virtual visits on the date and time of the appointment. The service requires the physician to see and hear the patient, therefore patients will have to allow access to microphone and camera before being connected with their primary care provider.
