Healthcare needs for senior adults are unique. UMC offers patient-centered healthcare for adults age 65 and older from a skilled and compassionate medical team that specializes in caring for seniors.

We recognize the special needs of the senior population and as a NICHE-designated program, we have implemented strategies that address issues, improve patient outcomes and raise patient and family satisfaction levels. NICHE designated facilities provide access to specific resources, including mentoring and training tools to help aid in the care for older adults.
Geriatric Care Closer to Home
The same multidisciplinary team approach and care is available at our Outpatient Clinics in an outpatient setting. This means that the patient’s link between the hospital and Geriatrician is seamless, resulting in better outcomes and continuity of care in and out of the hospital.
At our Outpatient Clinics, a patient could be assessed, diagnosed and referred for hospitalization. Or, a patient can receive follow-up care at the centers after a hospitalization.
Outpatient Specialty Services
Our Outpatient Clinics offer specialty healthcare services for health conditions that affect geriatric age patients.
The High-Risk Osteoporosis Clinic is a specialized service for the treatment of Osteoporosis and musculoskeletal pain.
